Holiness the 17th Karmapa arrived in the US yesterday, to a joyful welcome. During a two-month tour, His Holiness will make stops at a number of universities. Notably, Yale will be awarding His Holiness Karmapa the prestigious Chubb Fellowship, and the University of Redlands plans to grant His Holiness an honorary PhD.
