Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche Teaches at Kamalashila Institute

On 02 and 03 November 2019, Rinpoche will offer an introduction to tantra based on the Gradual Path of the Wisdom Essence, a root text by Guru Rinpoche with a commentary by Jamgön Kongtrül Lodrö Thaye. What is tantra and what defines the view of tantra? And how can we really use it on our Buddhist path?

The Gradual Path of the Wisdom Essence (Tib.: lam rim ye shes snying po) is a terma revealed by Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa, and explains various topics related to tantra including preliminary practices, empowerment, samaya etc. and contains the pith instructions of the three inner tantras: Mahayoga, Anuyoga, and Ati Yoga.

This course is the beginning of a series of teachings by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche on this text  which will be continued next year with further in depth study. With these precious teachings, Rinpoche gives us a wonderful opportunity to deepen our understanding on this profound topic.

Rinpoche will teach in English with German translation.

Recommended arrival day: Friday, 01 November 2019 (please state when registering).
