November 13th is World Kindness Day

Often, we think that when we are kind to someone, it only benefits that person and not ourselves.  “But the reality is that acts of compassion have the power to transform the giver in unexpected ways.”

Think about how it feels when you commit a random act of kindness. Think about how it feels when you witness someone expressing genuine kindness to another. Participating in these acts benefit us in unanticipated ways. In the end, our acts of kindness are helping us more than others.

You can read an article on kindness written by our Teacher, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, here.
