Video: The 17th Karmapa’s Talk at Google

We’re happy to share the entire video of His Holiness Karmapa’s talk at Google headquarters to employees about mindfulness and meditation, with Mitra Dean Tyler Dewar translating. This was a “fireside chat” with Chade-Meng Tan, which was live streamed to all of Google’s offices worldwide, but can now be viewed by all online.

The 17th Karmapa teaches meditation for the West

On April 4th, His Holiness Karmapa visited Karma Thegsum Chöling-New Jersey (KTC-NJ) in southern New Jersey to give his first major Dharma teaching during his current trip to the US. HH Karmapa taught meditation methods and practiced shamatha together with a gathering of over 700 attendees, before conferring an empowerment for Manjushri, the bodhisattva of wisdom. HH Karmapa experiences student life

His Holiness Karmapa recently visited Princeton, his fourth stop on a tour of major American universities. Immersing himself in university life, HH Karmapa met with students, attended classes, and spoke on contemporary social issues from a Buddhist perspective, giving a talk titled, “A Buddhist Perspective: The Environment, Gender and Activism.” Watch the video of the talk here.
