Charlotte LaSasso became a student of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche and a member of Nalandabodhi in the spring of 2001. Soon after, she assumed distribution responsibilities for Bodhi magazine. Over the years, she has administered large international programs, coordinating Sangha Retreat, for example. She has also worked at the local level, serving as Practice Coordinator for Nalandabodhi Boulder.
The work she did for Nalandabodhi sparked Charlotte’s interest in the rewards that nonprofit business models offer. By 2004, she had settled into work for a nonprofit, the Boulder County Arts Alliance (BCAA), and was loving it. Charlotte is now the executive director of the BCAA. The job fulfills her need to deeply engage the arts through advocacy. Providing support for hundreds of artists and cultural organizations on the front line is her forte.
Charlotte resides in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, where she enjoys the usual Coloradoan activities — hiking, climbing, cycling — except those that involve snow. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to combine her administrative skills and passion for the dharma in service of Nalandabodhi, Rinpoche, and the lineage.
