De verwoesting heeft de regio verlamd en ambities en hulp zijn nodig voor de onmiddellijke verlichting van lijden voor degenen die worden be\u00efnvloed. Miljoenen kinderen en volwassenen zijn gewond en \/ of dakloos. We moedigen iedereen aan om gebeden van mededogen te sturen naar de mensen in de Himalaya.<\/p><p>Een manier om onze aspiraties met actie te ondersteunen, is door een vertrouwde organisatie te steunen die hulp biedt aan de slachtoffers van de aardbeving. Overweeg om te doneren aan een of meerdere van dergelijke organisaties, een uitgebreide lijst is te vinden\u00a0<a title=\"BBB Nepal\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bbb.org\/council\/news-events\/news-releases\/2015\/04\/nepal-earthquake-donation-tips\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hier<\/a>.<\/p><p>De Himalaya regio is niet alleen de geboorteplaats van de Boeddha, maar heeft ook de boeddhistische leringen gedurende duizenden jaren bewaard en gekoesterd. Veel boeddhistische gemeenschappen in Nepal hebben middelen nodig voor de wederopbouw van hun verwoeste tempels en woningen. Omdat veel kloosters en nonnenhuizen de lokale bevolking helpen door tenten, water en voedsel te verdelen, zijn hun eigen hulpbronnen dun uitgerekt terwijl veel van deze monniken en nonnen zelf dakloos zijn.<\/p><p>Veel boeddhistische gemeenschappen hebben structureel herstel nodig, waaronder\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Tek Chok Ling nonnenklooster in Nepal, dat onder de\u00a0<\/span>de begeleiding<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u00a0van Khenchen Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, docent van Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche. Bijdragen die kunnen worden gemaakt <a title=\"Tekchok Nunnery Donation\" href=\"https:\/\/co.clickandpledge.com\/advanced\/default.aspx?wid=109073\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hier<\/a>\u00a0zal direct doorgaan met het herbouwen van het klooster en zijn retraitecentrum die zwaar zijn beschadigd door de aardbeving. Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche is veilig en momenteel bij de Tek Chok Ling-nonnen in Kathmandu.<\/span><\/p><p>Zijne Heiligheid de 17e Karmapa leidde onlangs een wereldwijde gebedsbijeenkomst voor de slachtoffers van de aardbeving op 2 mei in de <a title=\"monlam earthquake victims\" href=\"http:\/\/www.karmapausa.com\/#!monlam\/c1jud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Riverside Church<\/a> in New York City.<\/p><p>In zijn recente <a title=\"Message concerning earthquake\" href=\"http:\/\/kagyuoffice.org\/message-from-the-gyalwang-karmapa-concerning-the-recent-earthquake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bericht<\/a> over de aardbeving schreef Zijne Heiligheid Karmapa:<\/p><p>&quot;Zodra ik hoorde van deze pijnlijke en verontrustende situatie, maakte ik mijn diepste aspiratiegebeden en inwijding voor alle mensen die getroffen zijn, en blijf dit doen. Vooral op momenten dat we voor zo&#039;n wanhopige situatie staan, kunnen we niet stilzitten, niet voelen. We moeten de krachten bundelen en de last van verdriet bij elkaar brengen. Het is belangrijk dat een ieder van ons de lamp van moed aansteken.
