In March 2013 Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche and a group of 32 Nalandabodhi students from all over the world visited pilgrimage sites in Burma (Myanmar) and Sri Lanka.The group toured sites in the ancient Burmese city of Bagan, including Mahabodhi Temple, Kuthodaw Pagoda, and Mahamuni Temple. In Sri Lanka the pilgrims visited Mihintale, Dambulla Cave temple, the city of Polonnaruwa, and the Temple of the Tooth, which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha Shakyamuni.
