Sangha Wide Open Guru Rinpoche Feast Guidelines

• We ask that, if you choose to attend, you attend the whole feast from beginning to end (plan for roughly two to three hours). 
• All participants must participate with their video feeds (cameras) turned on. This is a form of full participation: we are happy to gather and practice with you and it’s important that we see each other! This requirement is also necessary to maintain the integrity of the feast container. Accounts logged into the feast that have their cameras turned off for more than five minutes will be removed from the meeting.
• Before the feast begins, please prepare for yourself a plate of food with meat and other foods such as sweets or chips, cakes, cookies, cheeses, and so forth. Veggies are of course a wonderful thing but they are not called for as feast offerings. Please also prepare a beverage glass of beer or wine. (A non-alcoholic beverage for those who need to refrain from consuming alcohol for health reasons is permitted.) If you wish, you may also optionally prepare an additional plate and beverage and place it on your home shrine, if you have one, as an offering. 
• The timing of the consumption of food and drink follows a particular order of the ritual; please wait until the designated time is indicated before enjoying your feast food and feast beverage.
• Liturgies and songs will be screen-shared, so there is no need to worry about bringing any printed liturgical materials.

• Expectations for attire and conduct are the same as those that apply for in-person gatherings at Nalandabodhi centers.
• The “chat” service of Zoom will be enabled for a few minutes before and a few minutes after the liturgical portion of the event, but not during the main practice of the feast liturgy.
