Mahāmudrā: Meeting Mind’s True Nature
a teaching and meditation program with
Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche
We are delighted to announce the topic of this year’s Treasury of Knowledge retreat! Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche will be teaching on Mahāmudrā, and in particular, on the text “Pointing Out the Dharmakāya” by the 9th Karmapa, Wangchuk Dorje. We are honored to have Mitra Tyler Dewar as translator for Rinpoche. Please join us for this very special teaching!
ABOUT THE TEACHING: The meditation tradition of Mahāmudrā teaches that becoming familiar with the essence of each moment of our mind is the supreme method for swiftly liberating ourselves from confusion and allowing for genuine progress on our path of awakening. In the first installment of a series of teachings that will be presented this year and in 2020, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche will introduce the view and meditation techniques of Mahāmudrā on the basis of the Ninth Karmapa, Wangchuk Dorje’s famed work, Pointing Out the Dharmakāya. All levels of practitioner are invited to seize this rare opportunity to receive highly skilled guidance based on a widely treasured, profound text.
