Brigette found her way to Nalandabodhi after reading a teaching by HH Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, which inspired her to seek out further teachings from those who were his students. After reading books by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, she joined the Nalandabodhi study and practice paths and then became one of Rinpoche’s grateful students. She also serves on the Nalandabodhi Akasha Center council.

Brigette worked for thirty years in the non-profit sector in the U.S. as an executive director or development director. She worked for local, state-based and national non-profits focused on social justice and human rights, the environment, and non-profit media. She also worked as a consultant and trainer helping non-profit organizations with fundraising and board development. Retired from her career for health reasons, she is happy to volunteer her time and skills to help build a strong financial base for Nalandabodhi International so that NBI may continue to bring the wisdom and compassion of awakening into today’s world.

Brigette lives in the United States in Portland, OR in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She enjoys spending time gardening, hanging out with her daughters and grandchildren, reading poetry and popular books about quantum physics, and cooking for friends and family.
