Shakyamuni Festival (Saga Dawa) is Friday, June 5, 2020, at 10:00 am Pacific Time. This event will end at approximately 11:15 am Pacific Time.
Saga Dawa is the day we commemorate the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana. When we perform beneficial actions during this time, their results are greatly amplified.
This event will include meditation, chanting of liturgy, remarks by Rinpoche, and our Mitra Dean. This event will also include poetry readings, musical offerings, and a reading from Old Path, White Clouds. We will hear The Four Immeasurables recited in several different languages.
For those who cannot attend, we will make available a recording of Rinpoche’s remarks.
This is an event for members and friends and not open to the general public.
