Report from Rumtek Monastery

We’re pleased to bring you the latest from Bodhi Seeds, a charitable organization founded by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche to help with the many needs of monastic and lay communities in the Himalayan Regions of India, Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. Bodhi Seeds supports monasteries and lay communities with medical care, education, and other basic necessities of life. Bodhi Seeds also finds sponsors for children whose families are unable to send them to school.

Recently Bodhi Seeds has sponsored an ESL teacher to offer English instruction to those in the area who need and want it. His name is Colin, and you can follow his experience of Rumtek on his blog, ColinChameleon.com.

Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche received his early training in the contemplative, intellectual, and artistic disciplines of Indian and Tibetan Buddhism at Rumtek Monastery, pictured here.  +more about Ponlop Rinpoche
