David Palmer

Organizational Health Coordinator

David grew up in Indiana and Minnesota, where he developed an interest in languages and cultures. He later moved to Vancouver and completed a degree in Asian Studies. During his studies, he lived in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, where his interest in Buddhism deepened.

He joined Nalandabodhi in 2010 and soon thereafter became a student of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche. Over the years, David has served in a variety of volunteer roles within Nalandabodhi and Nitartha, gaining a view of how the organization functions across different contexts.

Professionally, David has worked for many years in roles focused on improving organizational processes and operations. He enjoys vegetarian cooking, gluten-free baking, history, philosophy, science fiction, languages, and thoughtful conversation with dharma friends.
