Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche’s Passing

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge Venerable Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche’s passing into parinirvana on October 6th, 2019.

Born in eastern Tibet in 1924, Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche was one of the great masters of the Karma Kagyu tradition.

On behalf of all Nalandabodhi members, we offer our heartfelt prayers and love to Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, his students, and all those impacted by his passing. May his example continue to inspire bodhicitta in the hearts of all beings and cause the genuine dharma to flourish in the ten directions.
